Consumer Prices Index 12-month average rate in Madeira was -0.3%
The Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was -0.3%, 0.2 percentage points (p.p.) higher than the value recorded in the previous month.
The largest downward pressure on the annual average rate of change occurred in the classes of "Transport" (-4.7%) and "Clothing and footwear" (-1.8%). On the opposite side, the classes of "Alcoholic beverages and tobacco" (+ 3.4%) and "Communications" (+ 2.4%) recorded the largest positive changes.
In Portugal, the value of that rate was 0.8%, the same than the previous month.
In March 2017, the average value of housing rents per square meter of floor area in the Region was higher by 0.8% than the previous month (0.5%).
