Consumer Prices Index 12-month average rate in Madeira was 0.5%
In July 2017, the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was 0.5%, 0.3 percentage points (p.p.) higher than in the previous month.
The largest downward pressure on the annual average rate of change occurred in the classes of "Clothing and footwear" (-2.6%) and “Accessories, Household Equipment and Current Household Maintenance” (-1.3%). On the opposite side, "Alcoholic beverages and tobacco" (+2.9%) and "Communications" (+2.8%) recorded the largest positive changes.
In Portugal, the value of that rate was 1.1%, the same as in the previous month.
In July 2017, the average value of housing rents per square meter of floor area in the Region was 0.4% higher than in the previous month.
