Consumer Prices Index 12-month average rate in Madeira was 0.9%
In September 2017, the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was 0.9%, 0.2 percentage points (p.p.) higher than in the previous month.
The largest downward pressure on the annual average rate of change occurred in the classes of "Clothing and footwear" (-2,6%) and “Accessories, Household Equipment and Current Household Maintenance” (-1,7%). On the opposite side, “Communications" (3.0%) and "Alcoholic beverages and tobacco" (+2.5%) recorded the largest positive changes.
In Portugal, the value of that rate was 1.2%, 0.1 p.p. higher than in the previous month.
In September 2017, the average value of housing rents per square meter of floor area in the Region stood 0.1% below the previous month.
