Consumer Prices Index 12-month average rate in Madeira was 1.0%
In October 2017, the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was 1.0%, 0.1 percentage points (p.p.) higher than in the previous month.
The largest downward pressure on the annual average rate of change occurred in the classes of "Clothing and footwear" (-2,7%) and “Accessories, household equipment and current household maintenance” (-1,7%) . On the opposite side, “Communications" (+3.0%) and "Alcoholic beverages and tobacco" (+2.3%) recorded the largest positive changes.
In Portugal, the value of that rate was 1.2%, the same as in the previous month.
In October 2017, the average value of housing rents per square meter of floor area in the Region increased by 0.1% over the previous month.
