Consumer Prices Index 12-month average rate in Madeira was 1.1%
In November 2017, the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was 1.1%, 0.1 percentage points (p.p.) higher than previous month.
The upward pressure on the annual average rate of change occurred in the classes of “Communications" (+2.8%) and "Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels" (+2.3%). On the opposite side, "Clothing and footwear" (-2.8%) and “Accessories, Household Equipment and Current Household Maintenance” (-1.7%) were the only classes in which the rate of change was negative.
In Portugal, the value of that rate was 1.3%, 0.1 p.p. higher than in the previous month.
In November 2017, the average value of housing rents per square meter of floor area in the Region decreased by 0.1% over the previous month.
