Consumer Prices Index 12-month average rate in the Autonomous Region of Madeira was -0.8%

In June 2020, the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was -0.8%, the same as in the previous month.

The largest negative changes occurred in the classes of "Clothing and footwear" (-4.6%) and “Communications” (-4.0%). Conversely, the highest positive changes were observed in the classes “Alcoholic beverages and tobacco" (+1.6%) and “Restaurants and hotels” (+0.9%).

In Portugal, the value of that rate was 0.1%, the same as in the previous month.

In June 2020, the average value of housing rents per square meter of floor area in the Region was the same as in the previous month, registering a 1.8% growth compared to the same month of last year.
