Average value of housing bank evaluation in the Autonomous Region of Madeira (ARM) increased from the previous quarter, but decreased year-on-year
In December 2016, the average value of housing bank appraisals in the ARM reached €1 231/sq meter, increasing by 0.8% from November 2016 and a decreasing by 0.4% from the same period of the year before.
For Portugal, that same variable stood at €1 100/sq meter in the month of reference, 0.8% above the previous month. The year-on-year change rate was +4.8%.
For the flats located in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, the value of bank appraisals in the month of reference was €1 255/sq meter. In the case of row houses the value was lower (€1 204/sq meter).
Annual values show growth
With the year 2016 now complete, the figures show that the average annual value of the bank evaluation on housing in Madeira stood at €1 192/sq meter, up by 0.8% from 2015, with an increase in row houses (+2.9%) and a decrease in the case of apartments (-0.7%). The average value for the apartments stood at €1 200/sq meter and at €1 183/sq meter for row houses.
