Median value of bank appraisals on housing in the Autonomous Region of Madeira decreased from the previous month and year-on-year
In August 2020, the average value of bank appraisals on housing in the Autonomous Region of Madeira reached €1 107/sq meter, decreasing by 0.3% from July 2020 and going down by 2.7% from the year-ago month.
For the flats located in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, the average value of bank appraisals in the month of reference was €1 120/sq meter, down by 0.4% and 2.5%, when compared to last July and August 2019, respectively. In the case of row houses the value was lower (€1 077/sq meter), with the growth rates, by the same order, standing at -2.5% and -3.8%.
For Portugal, that same variable stood at €1 128/sq meter in the month of reference, up by 1 euro from the previous month. The year-on-year change rate was +7.0%. The highest values were registered in Algarve (€1 508/sq meter) and Área Metropolitana de Lisboa (€1 499/sq meter) followed by the Autonomous Region of Madeira (€1 107/sq meter).
