Median value of bank appraisals on housing in the Autonomous Region of Madeira increased from the previous month and decreased year-on-year
In September 2020, the average value of bank appraisals on housing in the Autonomous Region of Madeira reached €1 142/sq meter, increasing by 3.2% from August 2020 and dropping by 0.2% from the year-ago month.
For the flats located in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, the average value of bank appraisals in the month of reference was €1 158/sq meter, up by 3.4% compared to previous month and also up by 0.9% over September 2019. In the case of row houses the value was lower (€1 113/sq meter), with the growth rates, by the same order, standing at +3.3% and -2.3%.
For Portugal, that same variable stood at €1 128/sq meter in the month of reference, the same value than in the previous month. The year-on-year change rate was +5.8%. The highest values were registered in Algarve (€1 518/sq meter) and Área Metropolitana de Lisboa (€1 493/sq meter), followed by the Autonomous Region of Madeira (€1 142/sq meter).
