Consumer Prices Index 12-month average rate in Madeira was -0.8%

In September 2015, the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was -0.8%, 0.2 percentage points (p.p.). below the previous month.

The largest downward pressure on the annual average rate of change occurred in the classes of "Transports" (-6.4%) and "Clothing and footwear" (-1.4%). On the opposite side, "Alcoholic beverages and tobacco" (+3.4%) and "Communications" (+3,0%) recorded the largest positive changes.

In Portugal, the value of that rate was 0.6%, the same as in the previous month.

In September 2016, the average value of housing rents per square meter of floor area in the Region remained unchanged from the prior month.
