Consumer Prices Index 12-month average rate in Madeira was 1.7%
In June 2018, the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was 1.7%, 0.2 percentage points higher than in the previous month.
The "Clothing and footwear" and "Accessories, household equipment and current housing maintenance" classes were the only ones with negative changes of -2.1% and -1.8%, respectively. Conversely, the highest positive changes were observed in the "Transportation" (4.3%) and "Restaurants and hotels" (3.8%).
In Portugal, the value of that rate was 1.1%, 0.1 percentage points higher than in the previous month.
In June 2018, the average value of housing rents per square meter of floor area in the Region increased by 0.1% over the previous month.
