Consumer Prices Index 12-month average rate in Madeira was 2.3%
In September 2018, the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was 2.3%, 0.2 percentage points (p.p.) higher than in the previous month.
The highest positive changes were observed in "Transportation" (6.8%) and "Restaurants and hotels" (5.2%). The classes of "Clothing and footwear" and "Accessories, household equipment and current housing maintenance" registered the most significant negative changes, -1.4% in. both cases.
In Portugal, the value of the 12-month average rate was 1.2%.
In September 2018, the average value of housing rents per square meter of floor area in the Region increased by 0.1% over the previous month.
