The Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was -0.5%, lower than the value recorded in the previous month by 0.1 percentage points (pp).
The largest downward pressure on the annual average rate of change occurred in the classes of the "Food and non-alcoholic beverages" (-3.3%), "Furnishings, household equipment and routine maintenance of the house” (-1.3%) and" Health "(-1.2%). On the opposite side, the highest increases were observed in "Alcoholic beverages and tobacco" (+2.4%) and "Communications" (+1.7%).
In the country, the value of that rate stood at -0.3%, 0.1 pp lower than in the previous month.
