Consumer Prices Index 12-month average rate in the Autonomous Region of Madeira was -1.5%
In January 2021, the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was -1.5%, decreasing by -0.1 percentage points when compared to the previous month.
Goods recorded a rate of -1.0% and services had a rate of -2.1%.
The largest negative changes were observed in "Transports” (-6.0%) and "Education" (-4.9%) classes. Conversely, the highest positive changes occurred in the "Restaurants and Hotels" (+1.9%) and “Food and non-alcoholic beverages” (+1.7%) classes.
In Portugal, the value of that rate was -0.1% (null in the previous month).
In January 2021, the average value of housing rents per square meter of floor area in the Region increased by 0.3% compared to the previous month and by 0.7% over the same month of last year.
