Consumer Prices Index 12-month average rate in the Autonomous Region of Madeira was -1.2%
In April 2021, the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was -1.2%, increasing by 0.1 percentage points (p.p.) when compared to the previous month.
Goods recorded a rate of -0.6% and services of -2.0%.
The largest negative changes were observed in "Transports” (-5.1%) and "Education" (-4.9%) classes. Conversely, the highest positive changes occurred in the “Food and non-alcoholic beverages” (+2.0%) and "Restaurants and Hotels" (+1.1%) classes.
In Portugal, the value of that rate was 0.1%, 0,1 p.p. higher than in the previous month.
In April 2021, the average value of housing rents per square meter of floor area in the Region was +0.2% compared to the previous month and increased by 0.8% over the same month of the previous year.
