Consumer Prices Index 12-month average rate in the Autonomous Region of Madeira was 0.8%
In November 2021, the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was 0.8%, increasing by 0.3 percentage points (pp) when compared to the previous month. It should be noted that this indicator has been on an upward trajectory since February of this year, turning positive in the month of September.
In turn, the underlying inflation indicator, measured by the total index excluding unprocessed food and energy, recorded a rate of 0.1%, up to 0.2 pp on the previous month.
Goods recorded a rate of 1.2% and services of 0.4%.
The most significant positive changes were observed in Health" (+1.3%) and "Transport" (+4.5%). On the contrary, "Education" and "Clothing and Footwear" registered the most negative changes, with 4.0% and 2.1%, respectively.
In Portugal, the value of that rate was 1.0%, 0.2 pp higher than in the previous month.
In November 2021, the average value of housing rents per square meter of floor area in the Region had a change of +0.2% compared to the previous month and increased by 2.1% over the same month of the previous year.
