Consumer Prices Index 12-month average rate in Madeira was -0.6%
The Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was -0.6%, 0.1 percentage point (p.p.) below the value recorded in the previous month.
The largest downward pressure on the annual average rate of change occurred in the classes of "Food and non-alcoholic beverages" (-2.5%), "Recreation and culture" (-2.0%) and "Health" (-1.7%). On the opposite side, the classes of "Communications" (+1.7%) and " Alcoholic beverages, tobacco" (+1.2%) recorded the largest positive changes.
In Portugal, the value of that rate stood at -0.2%, 0.1 percentage point above the value recorded in the previous month.
In April 2015, the average value of housing rents per square meter of floor area in the Region was -0.2% lower than the previous month (+1,1% in March).
