Consumer Prices Index 12-month average rate in Madeira was -0.2%
The Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was -0.2%, lower than the previous month by 0.1 percentage points.
The largest downward pressure on the annual average rate of change occurred in the classes of "Transports" (-3.1%) and “Clothing and footwear“ (-1.5%). On the opposite side, the classes of "Communications" (+4.0%) and "Alcoholic beverages, tobacco" (+3.4%) recorded the largest positive changes.
In Portugal, the value of that rate stood at 0.6%, the same value as in the previous month.
In June 2016, the average value of housing rents per square meter of floor area in the Region went up by 0.5% over the previous month.
