Consumer Prices Index 12-month average rate in Madeira was -0.4%
The Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was -0.4%, lower than the previous month by 0.2 percentage points.
The largest downward pressure on the annual average rate of change occurred in the classes of "Transports" (-4.4%) and “Clothing and footwear“ (-1.4%). On the opposite side, the classes of "Communications" (+3.7%) and " Alcoholic beverages, tobacco" (+3.3%) recorded the largest positive changes.
In Portugal, the value of that rate stood at 0.6%, the same value as in the previous month.
In July 2016, the average value of housing rents per square meter of floor area in the Region remained unchanged from the previous month.
