Consumer Prices Index 12-month average rate in Madeira was -0.6%
In August 2016, the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was -0.6%, 0.2 percentage points (p.p.).lower than the previous month.
The largest downward pressure on the annual average rate of change occurred in the classes of "Transports" (-5.8%) and “Clothing and footwear“ (-1.2%). On the opposite side, the classes of "Communications" and " Alcoholic beverages, tobacco" recorded the largest positive changes (+3.3%).
In Portugal, the value of that rate was 0.6%, 0.1 p.p. higher than the previous month.
In August 2016 the monthly change in the average value of housing rents per square meter of floor area in the Region was 0.1%.
