In the first quarter of 2017
Number of performances and revenues increased but the spectators decreased year-on-year in Madeira’s cinemas
According to the provisional data made available by the Institute for Cinema and Audiovisuals (ICA), 4,272 performances were recorded in the cinemas of the Autonomous Region of Madeira in first quarter of 2016, a 1.3% year-on-year increase.
The number of spectators stood at 67,029, down by 1.8% and the box office revenues reached 341 thousand euros, a 4.9% increase compared to the same period of 2016.
