In the first half of 2017
Number of performances, spectators and revenues in the Autonomous Region of Madeira’s cinemas increased year-on-year
According to the provisional data made available by the Institute for Cinema and Audiovisuals (ICA), 8,761 performances were recorded in the cinemas of the Autonomous Region of Madeira in the first half of 2017, a 4.2% year-on-year increase.
The number of spectators stood at 153,678, up by 23.7% and the box office revenues reached 764 thousand euros, a 26.7% increase compared to the same period of 2016.
