In the first half of 2018
Number of performances and spectators as well as the revenue decreased year-on-year in the Autonomous Region of Madeira’s cinemas
According to the provisional data made available by the Institute for Cinema and Audiovisuals (ICA), 8,271 performances were recorded in the cinemas of the Autonomous Region of Madeira in the first half of 2018, a 5.6% year-on-year decrease.
The number of spectators stood at 113,056, down by 26.4% and the box office revenues reached 583 thousand euros, a 23.8% decrease compared to the same period of 2017.
