In the first half of 2019
Number of performances and spectators as well as the revenue increased year-on-year in the Autonomous Region of Madeira’s cinemas
According to the provisional data made available by the Institute for Cinema and Audiovisuals (ICA), 8,321 performances were recorded in the cinemas of the Autonomous Region of Madeira in the first half of 2019, a 0.6% year-on-year increase.
The number of spectators stood at 117,695, up by 4.1% and the box office revenues reached 602 thousand euros, a 3.3% increase compared to the same period of 2018.
