More performances, spectators and receipts in the cinemas of the Autonomous Region of Madeira
According to the provisional data made available by the Institute for Cinema and Audiovisuals (ICA), 18,733 performances were recorded in the cinemas of the Autonomous Region of Madeira in 2019, a 7.5% increase over 2018.
The number of spectators stood at 298,422, up by 12.6%, and the box office revenues reached 1 536 thousand euros, a 13.2% increase compared to the 2018.
For the three variables, these were the highest values since 2012.
