Number of sessions, spectators, and revenue in the cinemas of the Autonomous Region of Madeira experienced an increase
The Directorate of Statistics of Madeira (DREM) released today provisional data provided by the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual (ICA) for the first quarter of 2024.
According to the provisional data provided by the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual (ICA), in the first three months of 2024, 3,394 cinema sessions were recorded in the Autonomous Region of Madeira (ARM), representing a 4.2% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
The number of spectators reached 42,237, reflecting a 16.2% year-on-year increase, while ticket revenue rose to approximately 250 thousand euros, also growing by 18.1% compared to the same period of the previous year.
