Cinema sessions, spectators, and ticket revenue decreased in the Autonomous Region of Madeira
According to provisional data provided by the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual (ICA), during the first three months of 2025, a total of 3 062 cinema sessions were held in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, representing a decrease of 9.8% compared to the same period in 2024.
The number of spectators stood at 39 510, reflecting a year-on-year decline of 6.5%, while ticket revenues dropped to approximately 240 thousand euros, a reduction of 4.1% compared to the same period of the previous year.
