More performances, spectators and receipts in Madeira’s cinemas
According to the provisional data provided by the Institute for Cinema and Audiovisuals (ICA), in the first three months of 2016, 4,216 performances were recorded in Madeira’s cinemas, a 7.3% year-on-year increase.
The number of spectators topped 68 thousand, up by 13.9% over the same period of the previous year.
The box office revenues in the first quarter 2016 reached € 325 thousand, increasing by 8.9% compared to the same period of 2015.
