In the first semester of 2023
Building permits decreased compared to the corresponding period, while completed buildings increased
During the first semester of 2023, a total of 252 buildings were granted licenses, marking a 7.0% decrease compared to the same period in 2022 when there were 271 licensed buildings. Among these licensed constructions, 69.8% were new projects (176 in total), with a significant majority of 92.0% being intended for residential purposes (162 in total). This resulted in the licensing of 700 new dwellings, showing a substantial increase of 88.7% compared to the first semester of 2022 when 371 dwellings were licensed.
In terms of completed buildings during this semester, there was a 12.8% increase compared to the corresponding period, totalling 211 completed buildings. Among these, 68.2% were new constructions designed for residential housing (144 in total). When focusing on the completed dwellings within these new residential constructions (190 in total), the results indicate a decrease of 50.8% compared to the same semester in 2022 when 386 dwellings were completed.
