Licensed buildings increased compared to the corresponding period, while completed buildings decreased
In the first quarter of 2024, a total of 157 buildings were licensed, representing a 21.7% increase compared to the same period in 2023 (129).
Out of the licensed construction and demolition projects, 72.0% corresponded to new constructions (113), of which 88.5% were intended for family housing (100). These projects resulted in the licensing of 138 dwellings in new residential constructions, which is a 60.3% decrease compared to the first quarter of 2023 (348).
Regarding the completed buildings, there was a 9.7% drop in this quarter compared to the same period in the previous year, with a total of 102 completed buildings, of which 69.6% were new constructions for family housing (71). As for the completed dwellings in new family constructions (163), the results indicate a 79.1% increase compared to the same quarter in 2023 (91).
