Number of pharmacies remained unchanged
In 2018, there were 65 pharmacies in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, 1 medicine depot and 18 points of sale for medicinal products not subject to a medical prescription (the same values of the previous year).
In the Autonomous Region of Madeira, there were 26 pharmacies per 100,000 inhabitants in 2018, a smaller ratio when compared to the country (30 pharmacies per 100,000 inhabitants).
The data made available now will be included in the publication "Health Statistics of the Autonomous Region of Madeira - 2018," which will be released in December 2019.
