Excessive Deficit Procedure

According to EU regulations, Statistics Portugal is sending today to Eurostat the second notification of 2014 of the Excessive Deficit Procedure (EDP).

The estimate of Net lending of the Regional Government of Madeira stands at 81,3 million euro and the amount of the Regional Gross Debt at 4,290.2 million euro.

Please note that this notification is presented according to the new European System of Accounts 2010 (ESA 2010), which introduced a significant number of methodological changes that resulted in important revisions compared with the previous notification (in ESA 95). These changes  are described in the “In Focus” (only available in Portuguese).
