Cement sales stood at 48.2 thousand tonnes
In the third quarter of 2014, cement sales in Madeira stood at 48.2 thousand tonnes, corresponding to a year-on-year increase of 34.9%. The percentage change over the previous quarter is also positive (+5.2%).
However, this growth was not sharp enough to reverse the downward trend initiated in 2013. Taking in account the first nine months of 2014, the cement sales totalled 117.9 thousand tonnes, dropping by 0.7% when compared to the corresponding period of 2013.
