Cement sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira increased compared to the previous quarter and year-on-year
According to the data collected by the Regional Directorate of Statistics of Madeira (DREM), in the 1st quarter of 2022, the cement sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira stood at 41.5 thousand tonnes, reflecting an increase of 12.4% over the previous quarter (37.0 thousand tonnes).
Compared to the same quarter of the prior year (34.6 thousand tonnes), there was also a growth of 19.9%. It should be noted that this volume of cement sales is the highest for the first 3 months of the year, since 2014.
Regarding the value of cement sold in the Autonomous Region of Madeira in the reference quarter, it stood at 4.6 million euros, increasing by 5.3% from the previous quarter and by 21.4% year-on-year.
