In the second quarter of 2022
Cement sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira recorded the highest value since the 3rd quarter 2014
According to the data collected by the Regional Directorate of Statistics of Madeira (DREM), in the 2nd quarter of 2022, the cement sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira stood at 43.6 thousand tonnes, reflecting an increase of 5.0% over the previous quarter (41.5 thousand tonnes).
Compared to the same quarter of the prior year (39.9 thousand tonnes), there was also a growth of 9.2%. It should be noted that this volume of cement sales is the highest since the 3rd quarter 2014.
Regarding the value of cement sold in the Autonomous Region of Madeira in the reference quarter, it stood at 4.9 million euros, increasing by 5.3% from the previous quarter and by 11.0% year-on-year.
Year to date (1st half 2022), the cement sales went up by 14.2% year-on-year, while the sales value increased by 15.8%.
