In the 3rd quarter of 2025
Volume of cement sold in the Autonomous Region of Madeira (ARM) increased year-on-year, but insufficiently to offset the decline of the previous two quarters
According to data collected by the Regional Directorate of Statistics of Madeira (DREM), in the 3rd quarter of 2025, cement sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira (ARM) reached 45.1 thousand tonnes, reflecting a 5.2% increase compared to the previous quarter (42.8 thousand tonnes). Similarly, compared to the same quarter of the previous year (44.6 thousand tonnes), there was also an increase of 1.1%.
In the same quarter, the value of cement sold in the ARM amounted to 6.9 million euros, showing a quarterly and year-on-year increase of 5.6% and 10.0%, respectively.
In cumulative terms (the first nine months of 2025), the volume of cement sold decreased by 3.2% compared to the same period in the previous year, while the value of cement sales increased by 4.6%.
