Trade balance of the Autonomous Region of Madeira with foreign countries was negative and stood at 22.0 million Euros
According to preliminary data in 2015, the Region’s trade balance of goods with foreign countries stood at -22.0 million Euros, representing a coverage rate of imports by exports of 82.8%. The final results for 2014 show that the balance between exports and imports was negative of 6.3 million Euros and the coverage rate reached 95.3%.
In 2015, exports totaled 105.6 million Euros (125.8 million Euros compared with the previous year), 74.1% of which destined for Third Countries (i.e. outside the EU), while imports reached 127.6 million Euros (132.0 million Euros in the previous year), 88.6% of which coming from the EU.
