The business services sector generated 131.2 million euros
The turnover generated by some business services in the Autonomous Region of Madeira (RAM) stood at 131.2 million euros, 18.5 million less than the previous year (-12.4%).
The information now available indicates that in 2012, 38.9% of the turnover of the business services in the Region derived from computer services. The turnover of this activity totalled 51.0 million euros in 2012, down by 3.7% compared to 2011.
In the year of reference, the business services employed 3,804 persons (42,6% of them being women), a decrease of 222 persons compared to 2011 (-5.5%).
The activities of accounting, auditing and consulting were the top employers in the sector, accounting for approximately 1,700 jobs, which represent 44.0% of the total staff employed in the business services sector.
