Business services sector generated 129.9 million euros
The turnover generated by some business services in the Autonomous Region of Madeira (RAM) stood at 129.9 million euros, up by 9.3 million from the previous year (+7.7%).The information now available indicates that in 2014, 41% of the turnover of the business services in the Region derived from computer services. The turnover of this activity totaled 52.9 million euros in 2014, up by 30.2% compared to 2013.
In the year of reference, the business services employed 3,365 persons, decreasing by 127 persons compared to 2013 (-3.6%).The activities of accounting, auditing and consulting were the top employers in the sector, concentrating 1,358 jobs, which represent 40.4% of the total staff employed in the business services sector.
