Gross debt of the Regional Administration of Madeira stood at 4.720 billion Euros
In the end of the 3rd quarter 2015, the gross debt of the Regional Administration of Madeira stood at 4.720 billion Euros, increasing by 146 million Euros (+3.2%) from the previous quarter and by 404 million Euros (+9.3%) from the 3rd quarter of 2014.
The quarterly increase can be explained by the signing of new debt regularisation agreements and by new funds borrowed under the economic and financial adjustment programme of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
The breakdown of the gross debt by financial instrument shows an increase in the share of loans from 89.8% in the 3rd quarter of 2014 to 90.7% in the reference quarter. Inversely, the percentage of securities, during the same period, dropped from 10.2% to 9.3%.
