Implicit interest rate in housing credit in the Autonomous Region of Madeira decreased from the previous month while the loan repayments increased
In January 2020, the implicit interest rate in housing credit in the Region was 0.949%, decreasing by 0.008 percentage points (p.p.) from the previous month. In January 2019, the rate was 1.006%.
The average value of loan repayments increased to €271 in the month of reference, with the interest component standing at €46 (same value as in the previous month) and the capital amortisation at €225 (up by €1 from the previous month). In January 2019, the average value of loan repayments was 270 euros.
The average outstanding loan value in housing credit in the Autonomous Region of Madeira went up to €57,875 (€57,807 in the previous month). One year before it stood at €58,267.
In Portugal, the implicit interest rate in housing credit stood at 1.000% while the average value of loan repayments remained decreased to in €247. The average outstanding loan value for Portugal increased from €53,460 in December of 2019 to €53,608 in January 2020.
