Implicit interest rate in housing credit and the loan repayments decreased
In June 2016, the implicit interest rate in housing credit in the Region was 1.049%, decreasing by 0.026 percentage points (p.p.) from the previous month.
The average value of loan repayments dropped to €268 in the month of reference, due to the decline in the interest component to €52 (down by €1 from the previous month), since the capital component remained unchanged at €216.
The average outstanding loan value in housing credit in the Autonomous Region of Madeira dropped to €59,001.
In Portugal, the implicit interest rate in housing credit stood at 1.089% (1.112% in May 2016) and the average value of loan repayments remained unaltered at 238€.
