In February 2025, the highest average air temperature (18.2°C) was recorded at Lugar de Baixo, while the lowest average temperature was observed at the Pico do Areeiro station (7.1°C).

Compared to the climatological normals² for February, all stations for which data were available (six stations) recorded above-average values, with Funchal/Observatory standing out with a deviation of +1.9°C from its normal value.

Regarding absolute maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in February, the highest extremes were observed on the 28th at the Lugar de Baixo station (23.3°C) and the Pico do Areeiro station (-1.3°C), respectively.

Only Porto Santo/Airport and Funchal/Observatory reported precipitation values above the normal (+26.0 mm and +9.7 mm, respectively).

An analysis of days with precipitation (rain, rainy and very rainy days) indicates that the maximum number of days with rain was observed at Santo da Serra. This station registered the highest number of days with rain (21 days, with at least 0.1 mm of precipitation) and the highest number of rainy days (12 days, with at least 1.0 mm of precipitation). Both Santo da Serra and Santana recorded five very rainy days (with at least 10 mm of precipitation).
