In 2018
Cement sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira increased by 0.6%
In 2018, the commercialization of cement (first sale) in the Autonomous Region of Madeira stood at 113.8 thousand tonnes, increasing of 0.6% over the previous year. In the last three years, cement sales have increased steadily, after having reached in 2015 their lowest level since 1979.
In the fourth quarter of 2018, the cement sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira reached 24.5 thousand tonnes, corresponding to a year-on-year decrease of 7.1%. The percentage change over the previous quarter was also negative (-18.1%).
