In the third quarter of 2022
Cement sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira decreased compared to the previous quarter and year-on-year
According to the data collected by the Regional Directorate of Statistics of Madeira (DREM), in the 3rd quarter of 2022, the cement sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira stood at 40.8 thousand tonnes, reflecting a decrease of 6.5% over the previous quarter (43.6 thousand tonnes).
Compared to the same quarter of the prior year (43.3 thousand tonnes), there was also a 5.9% drop.
Regarding the value of cement sold in the Autonomous Region of Madeira in the reference quarter, it stood at 4.6 million euros, showing a decline of 5.9% from the previous quarter and of 5.5% year-on-year.
Year to date (first nine months of 2022), the cement sales went up by 6.8% year-on-year and the sales value increased by 7.9%.
