Gross debt of the Regional Administration of Madeira stood at 4.795 billion Euros
The gross debt of the Regional Administration of Madeira stood at 4.795 billion Euros at the end of the 3rd quarter 2019, dropping by 94 million Euros (-1.9%) from the 2nd quarter of 2019, and decreasing by 21 million Euros (-0.4%) from the year-ago quarter.
The breakdown of the gross debt by financial instrument shows a decline in the share of loans from 67.9% in the 3rd quarter of 2018 to 61.6% in the reference quarter. This drop was offset by the growth in the percentage of securities which, during the same period, rose from 32.1% to 38.4%.

Net debt stood at 4.438 billion Euros
The net debt of the Regional Administration of Madeira stood at 4.438 billion Euros at the end of the 3rd quarter 2019, decreasing by 42 million Euros (-0.9%) from the 2nd quarter of 2019 and dropping by 40 million Euros (-0.9%) over the year-ago quarter.

Debt compiled according to the definition of the Excessive Deficit Procedure (Regulation (CE) 479/2009, of 25 May), i.e., general government consolidated gross debt at nominal or face value (Maastricht debt).
Net debt of deposits corresponds to Gross Debt (Maastricht debt) minus the deposits in resident banks.
