Consumer Prices Index 12-month average rate in the Autonomous Region of Madeira was 2.1%
In March 2019, the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was 2.1%, the same as in the previous month.
The highest positive changes were observed in the classes "Transport" (5.0%) and "Alcoholic beverages and tobacco" (4.4%). Conversely, the biggest negative changes occurred in the classes of the "Clothing and footwear" (-1.3%) and “Accessories, Household Equipment and Current Household Maintenance” (-0.6%).
In Portugal, the value of that rate was 1.0%, the same as in the previous month.
In March 2019, the average value of housing rents per square meter of floor area in the Region increased by 0.6% over the previous month.
