In 2021
Inoculations of the vaccine against COVID-19 in the Autonomous Region of Madeira exceeded 466 thousand
In 2021, according to information provided by the Regional Directorate of Health 577,374 inoculations were administered in the Autonomous Region of Madeira of which 466 098 inoculations of the vaccine against COVID-19 (Comirnaty) (80.7%).
In the Regional Imunisation Programme (RIP), 54 370 inoculations were administered, meaning a 4.8% decrease over 2020 (57,129). Outside this Programme, the number of administered vaccines stood at 523,004, of which 56 906 were inoculations of vaccines other than Comirnaty, down by 4.9% compared to the previous year (59 865).
