Consumer Prices Index 12-month average rate in Madeira was -0.1%

In April 2017, the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was -0.1%, 0.2 percentage points (p.p.) higher than in the previous month.

The largest downward pressure on the annual average rate of change occurred in the classes of "Transports" (-3,8%) and "Clothing and footwear" (-2,1%). On the opposite side, "Alcoholic beverages and tobacco" (+3.6%) and "Communications" (+2.4%) recorded the largest positive changes.

In Portugal, the value of that rate was 1.0%, 0,2 p.p. higher than in March 2017.

In April 2017, the average value of housing rents per square meter of floor area in the Region was -0,3% lower than in the previous month.
