Consumer Prices Index 12-month average rate in Madeira was 2.1%
In August 2018, the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) 12-month average rate in Madeira was 2.1%, 0.2 percentage points (p.p.) higher than in the previous month.
The "Accessories, household equipment and current housing maintenance" and "Clothing and footwear" classes were the only ones with negative changes of -1.8% and -1.4%, respectively. Conversely, the highest positive changes were observed in the "Transportation" (5.8%) and "Restaurants and hotels" (4.8%).
In Portugal, the value of that rate was 1.2%.
In August 2018 the average value of housing rents per square meter of floor area in the Region increased by 0.4% over the previous month.
